Bullshit Again?

What is the worst movie you've ever seen? Did you sit through it or walk out? What made it so dreadful?

Epic Movie. And I sat through it.

... I'm still amazed at how I did so, even though I had a D: plastered on my face the entire. damn. movie.

I first spotted this on my iMedia teacher's blog, but I just had to share this.

Cutest. Thing. Ever. And an excellent use of CGI and live action video!

A few weeks ago, my English teacher asked all of the students in her 4th period class to write something nice about every student in the class, and to write our address on top of the paper we were writing on. In a few weeks, she said, we would receive a letter from the school with whatever comments the classmates wrote about that individual person, as well as a small letter from herself (she did this with all of her other classes, so don't think we were the only ones).

My golly god, I got mine today. I was a little shocked at what my classmates wrote about the most. (Comments written the way they are on the paper.)

Comments + a letter )
Commentary )

On a completely different note, why is the advertisement next to this journal draft entirely in Spanish?

Picture under here! )
Excuse my crappy Paint skills. I just wanted to show my confusion. Scroll over to the right to see the Spanish ad. >.<

Writer's Block: Comments Please

Some of the best LJ moments take place in the comments, not the posts. What is your favorite comment or thread from a post?

View 367 Answers

Just about every comment thread in [info]sword_of_lies . No, the comment threads for the Chepic Finale Pool Partay* to celebrate the Legend of the Seeker season finale in the hysterical [info]sword_of_lies  community. We members know how to have a grand time! Just click on all of the threads if you want!

* Warning: Drunken antics, dying of laughter, capslock abuse, characters from other fandoms (Supernatural, Pokemon, Tin Man, Robin Hood BBC, Lord of the Rings, Merlin, and oh god, tons more) and general squeeing. Oh, and massive picspams/photoshopping of win. You have been warned.

But despite whatever lolarious funtimes I have over at [info]sword_of_lies , laughter can't really cure whatever sickness I've just caught. It can only boast my spirits. :D And make me cough up a lung.

There are many roads to LiveJournal—how did you first hear about LJ?

I... I forget how I stumbled upon this site. >.< I just know that it looked pretty cool when I first came upon it.

I know I've been hiding from everyone, but there's little I can find to update other then my everyday life - which is pretty mundane, so to speak.

I attended my cousin Patrick's First Communion on Saturday and ran into a few friends while there - friends who have never seen me in three inch heels and a dress. As I quote, "You all look rather shocked." xD

Prom Season is alll in the air at school. Even though I'll be going with my boyfriend Evan, I'm unconcerned of what others are wearing. I'll be wearing a dress I've had since my eighth grade year, so it beats the cost of paying for a new one that's over a hundred dollars. Once that dance is over I'll try to yank some pictures of me from my boyfriend's Facebook and show them off here.

I'll be getting on YIM tonight, [info]lilypeters, but if I don't... send Patrick out to drag me there, will ya? ;p

WTF LJ? Stop messing up the formatting when I'm trying to use the LJ User button!

I have news....

The road's are slick as fuck outside due to the freezing rain that we've been experiancing here as of late, but it still didn't stop me from bringing in one cold pup and just lay around the house all day. :-] I spent six hours watching the 1983 adaptation of Mansfield Park - despite not reading the novel, I enjoyed it quite a bit. It's just that during the ball scene... it was neat how the dances were choreographed, even though it looked like the cameraman was filming from the ceiling or the top of the stairs. xP

I'm going downtown to see the annual indoor train display with my boyfriend, mother, and aunt - and then I'm off to a Christmas party later that evening. :-] I just hope that the sidewalks of Cincinnati and the all of the roads are salted, because frankly, I don't want to be slipping and falling on my ass on a street (bringing down my poor boyfriend on the way) or be in a car on an unsalted, slick road.

I'll be wishing everyone a merry Christmas - I won't be on that day because Christmas Day is prime family time. :D

To everyone on my f-list (and those reading this entry),

I tend to do and learn things the hard way. I'm not one to ask for help, I usually just tend to poke things around before finally asking for it.

Well, I accidentally downloaded a virus on my laptop and I fear it's destroyed just about all of my files. I'm going to be with very limited internet access (I'm on one of the library computers) for a very long time. I'll just have to grow a backbone and just deal with it, because I hope this will teach me to cut my internet habits and earn a bit more common sense.

With the American economy as it is now, my parents and I have deicded to not buy a new laptop for myself, seeing how expensive they are these days.

But that isn't going to stop me from popping up on your journals from time to time - it'll only be in times far and between. I'll be reading my Friend's Page, but that's as close as I'll be getting to communication with everyone as I can get.

                                                                                                                                                            Sincerely yours,

                                                                                                                                                                              Julia, or [info]fallenidol_453

Well, shit.

I just now realized that I have my annual physical tomorrow. I also have to get the first dose of Gardisil that day. Dx I don't mind the physical portion, but that shot... ugh. I dislike needles being jabbed into me.

Have any of you ladies on my f-list gotten it yet? Any side effects I need to know about?

Writer's Block: The sound of inspiration

What type of music inspires you?

View 500 Answers

Almost any music, except for pop, hip hop, and rap, inspire me everyday.

I mainly listen to bands such as Within Temptation and (new) Nightwish when I'm writing, the songs by both bands evoke a lot of... inspiration, a few might say.

Movie Quotes Meme

Snagged from commodore_lydia!

1. Pick 15 of your favorite movies.
2. Go to IMDb and find a quote from each movie.
3. Post them here for everyone to guess.
4. Fill in the film title once it's guessed.
5. NO GOOGLING/using IMDb search functions. (No cheating while guessing!)

I must admit that two of the quotes are from TV Movies.. I added them because they're my favorites..

1. "High school-those are your prime suffering years. You don't get better suffering than that"

2. "And now, for my next impression, Jesse Owens."

3. "Death and honor are thought to be the same, but today I have learned that sometimes they are not." Last of the Mohicans [commodore_lydia]

4. "A kiss, from a lovely young woman, before she saw my face or knew my name."Sleepy Hollow [commodore_lydia]

5. "Fetch me a priest, girl. I'm minded to die."

6. "Give me the keys, I'll get it myself! And get rid of that stupid cat, you look like you're wearing one of your Mother's precious furs."

7. "That doesn't remind us of Musetta's Waltz" Rent [argent_wings]

8. "Ladies and gentlemen... I've traveled over half our state to be here tonight. I couldn't get away sooner because my new well was coming in at Coyote Hills and I had to see about it. That well is now flowing at two thousand barrels and it's paying me an income of five thousand dollars a week. I have two others drilling and I have sixteen producing at Antelope. So, ladies and gentlemen... if I say I'm an oil man you will agree. You have a great chance here, but bear in mind, you can lose it all if you're not careful. Out of all men that beg for a chance to drill your lots, maybe one in twenty will be oilmen; the rest will be speculators-men trying to get between you and the oilmen-to get some of the money that ought by rights come to you. Even if you find one that has money, and means to drill, he'll maybe known nothing about drilling and he'll have to hire out the job on contract, and then you're depending on a contractor that's trying to rush the job through so he can get another contract just as quick as he can. This is the way this works."There Will Be Blood [commodore_lydia]

9. "The little pink plus sign is so unholy"

10. "Shoot kid, if I did that, my mom would die of shock."

11. "He hasn't got shit all over him" Monty Python and the Holy Grail [argent_wings]

12. "Who says that murder's not an art?"Chicago [commodore_lydia]

13. "I have crossed oceans of time to find you."

14. "Death cannot stop true love. All it can do is delay it for a while"The Princess Bride [commodore_lydia]

15. "One day when I'm old, I want some lovely young girl to say to me, "Tell me, where in your long life, Mr. Caster, were you most happy?" And I shall say, 'Well, my dear, I never knew the exact place. It was somewhere on the Mediterranean. I was with Victoria Page." "What?" she will say. "Do you mean the famous dancer?" I will nod. "Yes, my dear, I do. Then she was quite young, comparatively unspoiled. We were, I remember, very much in love."

I don't know why I wanted to join Live Journal. Impulse, perhaps, to comment on icons people have made? I think so.

But I miss roleplaying on Xanga. Seriously. I want a Narnia Golden Age roleplay to spring up so I can join and finally roleplay one of my characters, Cora Ascot. I swear, she's been in my head for weeks.

But I probably won't reveal everything about her, because then I'll forget everything.... an unfortunate habit of mine.

I wish my county's library had more Cassie Edward's Savage novels. They only have, like, THREE and there's twenty or more in all in the series. Cassie is trying to write and research everything about all of America's very first settlers, and to tell you the truth, she's done a magnificent job. *Applauds* If only I could meet her in person.. then I could congratulate her.
